FICA - FROZEN ACCOUNT

I used to think FNB was a great bank, never had any problems with FNB, but now i am seriously considering changing banks if this is how they treat their clients.

I got an SMS asking me to send in FICA documents to confirm address. I went INTO the Umhlanga Ridge branch (FNB HEAD OFFICE IN UMHLANGA) 3 weeks ago where i changed my address on my account and was told that the FICA would be sorted out.

TODAY i get an SMS telling me my account has been frozen, i now cannot GET my money. I phoned the call centre where the lady i spoke to told me that they didn't accept my IRP5, when it CLEARLY states on the FNB WEBSITE the IRP5 is a a perfectly acceptable document to change my address. As the lady in the branch said it was ok and changed the details on my bank, i signed 4 different documents to confirm my change of address. The lady had no alternative but said i need to send in a telkom document (I DON'T HAVE TELKOM).

What do i do now? This is shameful business from a bank i used to respect. I now have no access to my money. Utter bullsh*t
