FICA Compliant on SASSA cards

Please advise why my elderly parent is continuously harassed to confirm her FICA details with the threat of her SASSA card being blocked after we had her AT a branch with the appropriate documentation in March / April 2024?

Once again she received a message on her phone that this needs to be done within 90 days (the count down now sitting on 30 days) number to be called *** or to visit a branch. We have limited means (meaning no transport) and surely FNB cannot expect a person to pitch up at a branch to confirm the address every 6 month just as soon as they received confirmation? Does this make sense to you?

What is even more concerning, when we phoned this morning to query same, while doing the "security check" to confirm if you "The Bank" were talking to the correct person she was expected to sing her details like a parrot from her full name to her ID to her physical address. I stopped the call at the physical address.

This is NOT the normal procedure for ANY bank to do a security check as a person is usually asked a yes or no question by the bank confirming details (since you already have all the details on file) in order not to fall prey to give your sensitive information to those planning to commit ***** with your details.
