Fees outstanding on settled account from October 2018.... Typical or ironic?
So here's to hoping this will be my final review for FNB. I posted a review on Friday, and yet another unauthorised debit was deducted from my ***. The debit order initially bounced, but shortly after funds were transferred into the account and within seconds, the debit order went off again. No department will assist me as I am no longer a private client, and have no active FNB bank cards, so I cannot be authenticated. After hours of back and forth and being given 100 bull**** excuses for the deduction, eventually I get a call stating that this debit order is for a loan that I have settled and closed in October 2018 and now suddenly there is an outstanding amount. At the time, I'm advised that I can have the money refunded provided I agree to a payment arrangement. We'd just arrived at a camp site for the weekend, and I couldn't still be bothered to argue. (Please go pull the calls). It is now Monday. nothing is refunded. No call from FNB. So here is my issue. If i request a settlement balance for a loan account, I expect it to be the entire amount due for that loan. Now 6 months later, I'm told that the account was settled and closed and suddenly I still owed money on the loan. Surely you cannot debit my account without my permission and without notification for something dating back 6 months? AND THAT AFTER THE ACCOUNT IS SETTLED AND CLOSED. As I explained to your contact centre, if FNB made a mistake, its not my problem, especially not 6 months later.
Now, I settle my R18500 overdraft, my R8000 credit card and pay of R7000 in devices to allow me to move away from you and go to a bank that offers decent service, and FNB finds just another way in which they can ***** me one last time before I'm free.
I received a paid up letter for this loan account on the 22nd October 2018. received confirmation that the account is paid in full and that its been closed. I expect my money to be refunded to my account, and FNB to immediately refund the fees I've now been charged for the bounced debit order. You cannot expect me to make provision for a debit order, I didn't even know was going to be deducted.
If FNB made a mistake 6 months ago - it is your issue not mine. You should literally absorb that based on the fact that firstly, its your mistake. Secondly, this can be considered compensation for the amount of **** i've been put through in the past year (please call up all communication with Pumeza, the private clients suite as well as hello peter posts)My previous private banker was informed Friday, I left a voice message as her phone was off. I sent and email. And again yesterday, sent an email - any response? No. None.
Get this sorted, and allow me to move on. I literally cannot wrap my head around the absolute disgusting service I've received - and this after being a client for almost 10 years.
