Feed back from, my previous review with more info
just feedback from my initial complaint after i wrote the review FNB contacted me and gave me a number and said they escalated the complaint which they always say and a consultant will contact me soon ,then i got the same e mail i received from FNB since i have been asking for a explanation and it said as usual contact GLA to sort this out but yet the initial handover fee to GLA was R70000 but i never had a card that had so much credit so i asked then for proof of handover fee from both and FNB sent nothing and GLA sent a statement that i owed around R3300 in 1998 and a letter from FNB saying i owed 70 000n but with no proof ,at the time i did not know much and GLA used unpleasant tactics to make me pay this was just after my business collapsed due to economic situation and it caused me to loose everything i had i paid what i could because of the fear they instilled in me if i dont eventually i could not even afford to pay anything as i was barely surviving they knew about this but one of the consultants just pay R20 keep the peace even though it was under what i should have paid according to them i still asked for proof but nothing they took the handover fee and added interest so it became R300 000,00 then halved it back something that the law said that interest can only double to the amount owed i think i had a facility of R30 000 with FNB that could have got to R70 000 with interest then handed it over so the interest doubled and that what i owed which i did pay back overR20000 but nobody could give me a statement to prove thats what i owed to this day 16 years later how did GLA take R70 000 and turn it into R172000,00 which i still owe according to them and it is still on my FNB profile as a loan account which causes negative impact within FIRSTRAND and i have lost thousands of R of ebucks since 2006 on my cheque account which has been fine for 35years no problem but prevents me from getting 1 cent overtdraft yet i can loan money with other institutions that bank with FNB I i stopped paying my R20 after money i put in through a ATM that was needed to feed my daughter and had to sit with no electricity for a week because they refused to return it to me GLA said its up FNB and visa versa so i said then thats my R20 for the next 10 years not paying anymore but still i get harassed everyday with threats then a sms saying i qualify for a amazing deal if i payR70 000 by the end of the month which is impossible i make just enough money to live they also continually harassed me even with covid to continue with myR20 thats how low this company goes along with FNB credit cards not FNB cheque account they always have tried to help but get blocked by this and they also find it ridiculous and tell me to put in a complaint which i have for many years not getting anywhere is there anyway i can find help to sort this out cant afford a lawyer would the NCR help or will it just end up in a pile of other complaints or anybody that reads this and it does make some sense give me some advice on what to do i have never been a person that does not pay bills on time in full but it was just beyond my control to sort this one out in 2006 also i have all the documents from GLA to backup what i say and i noticed now my handover fee has jumped from R70 000 to R90 000 on latest statement from GLA
