FEE **** BY FNB

FNB - Fee update for 2025 -2026. FNB has decided upon them to increase my bank fees with more than a 100% for the next year, from R250 to R550 per month by adding an immediate payment bundle fee for payments being processed immediately. Upon questioning this fee and two bank visits later the bank replies with a scripted replies I need to refer back to the 45page fee update document. After scrutinizing the document nowhere does it indicate the increase in immediate bundle fee of R300 per month, the document even states it's a more cost effective fee to me as client as I can make unlimited immediate transactions. I never do immediate payments and therefor are being charge a fee for a facility or service I never use. No staff member at the bank can explain this bundle fee deduction nor does it seem like head office can provide clarity on this fee expect for replying with a scripted reply. This only indicates one of two things. Your staff members don't know what is going on and cant provide answers - which makes me more cross as I'm paying more fees for non existing client service or the head office is simply to lazy to provide me with direct answers and feel they have done enough with replying with a copy and past scripted reply. This matter will be reported the the national ombud for financial services.
