Faulty credit card issued
Good day
My credit card was close to expiration and a new card was issued to me. I received sms's that a new card has been despatched by the courier company and I should have my ID available. I waited for the card on the appointed date but nothing arrived. A day later the reception at the work advised my that a letter from fnb was dropped off with them. This turned out to be my credit card and no ID was requested and it has the details of the pin included. I then tried to change the pin online on both the computer app and FNB app but could not find the option. I called FNB and was advised that the app had the option but mine was not active.
I eventually went to an atm and changed the pin. Upon using the card it has been both rejected and accepted using the changed pin. I have logged numerous complaints with FNB using the online app and telephonically but have not resolved the problem. The consultant that I spoke to requested that I verify my pin using telephone banking which has resulted in my card now being blocked.
The level of service and response from FNB is pathetic. There inability to accept blame yet ever willing to blame the customer is a major concern. I need to review whether this is the right time to switch.
