Faulty ATM

I deposited an amount into my FNB account at the ATM and the ATM jammed not only did it take the whole amount it also cancelled my card, Now I know this may be a protection mechanism however someone at the bank said that it is not first time that happened with that specific ATM, so why does FNB Sandton city not just allowing other transactions and not deposits at this specific ATM. this is a big inconvenience because the bank can only refund me my money on Monday afternoon as this was processed on a Saturday, will the bank stand in for any of my financial loss due to this? I think I also made a mistake and wrote the incorrect amount that was actually deposited I hope that I get the correct amount refunded in my account. I also have the inconvenience of my card being cancelled due to this. FNB really needs to service their machines regularly especially at a busy mall like Sandton city.
