False Promises and Ignorance

I received a Telemarketing call and offered a variation for reduced rates on my homeloan provided that I switch my current accounts over to FNB. At first it was all good and well and promised the best of the best by even upgrading to a private client portfolio etc until I verbally agreed to the offer .

At this point things went sour , what we discussed wasnt done. Rates were only matched and not better as we discssed. No communication of efforts. Emails forwarded directly onto me from other departments, I was then forced to "kindly"sign documents that I did not agree upon. I responded saying that I will not be signing anything further until these rates are dropped.

I was then asked to watch my tone . Yes being a potential customer I was asked to watch my Tone as if the relationship manager was doing me a favour? then he proceeded to say on email that I am emotional , Irational etc.

At this point I asked him to please cancel this agreement as I did not need to bank with FNB that has employees who think they are above the rest.

The following response then says "i understand your frustration " and I must "think about it as it will affect my future financial situation"? I am sorry but you did not get me to where I am today and you understood nothing else your responses would be very different.

We have 2 business accounts, a private client account and investments with FNB and we are still treated in this manner.

The bottom line is do not make false promises and then try to justify your weak efforts. Dont be in a position of a Relationship Manager if you cannot manage relationships!
