False advertising on Home Loans

Having banked with FNB since 2013 and moving up from a gold to a platinum to a private banking account in 7 years, I had become the biggest fan of FNB. However, my recent experience with FNB home loans has truly been very disappointing

FNB has my entire credit history since I started using credit, and I have always settled my credit card in full every single month; however they offered me the most pathetic interest rate of 10% (i.e. prime) for a R2.1m facility. They boast on their app about personalised interest rates, 50% back in eBucks on your first basic home loan repayment, and 50% discount on attorney fees; however none of this was offered to me and I feel cheated. When I asked about this, and I asked if the offer could be further negotiated as I had received a quote from a competing bank of 8.9% interest rate, and all other competing banks had quoted me below prime, I did not receive a response.

Furthermore, I hardly bother my private banker with anything. For once, I asked her to follow up/escalate my home loan application as FNB was literally taking the longest (I had received a quote in less than 24 hours from a competing bank that I do not bank with), and all that she did (48 hours later) was copied my home loans consultant in and asked her to respond to my email!

I am seriously thinking of switching after this experience.
