False advertising and the worst service

If you have heard the latest FNB Advert on how easy it is to switch over to their online banking system, it is false advertising. I am a client and have been for 8 years. I have a personal account and a business account. I app**** on the 21st July for a new business account. Today is the 11th and I still do not have an open account however they are gladly taking my business deposits from my clients.

I had to send in forms and Ids from my partners which I did, after 5 days I did not hear from them so I phoned the call centre and they said the documents weren’t in the correct format. I said why did they not phone me, no answer. I asked what format they wanted it in and they said PDF, I sent the documents in PDF format. No reply phoned them a day later and they said they didn’t receive them, I sent them 10 times they didn’t receive them. I had to phone the call centre again by this time I have lost my patients – guess what they haven’t received them and there is no manager or supervisor to speak to or try and tell them that their automated system is not working?? I decided to go to my branch in Broadacres and I spoke to a lovely customer service assistant Khazamula, Tsakani I told her my problem and showed her the 10 emails I sent to them. She proceeded to take charge and could not understand why they had not received or actioned anything. I gave her all the documents and she scanned them in and said she will phone them however I need the partners to sign a mandate which the FNB online never sent to me?

While all of this has occurred the courier company that is contracted to FNB have delivered my business banking debit card to my house where I run my business from. Proof of address and where I live? You would think???

Taskani comes back to me telling me they aren’t accepting my proof of address which is an invoice from my courier company – that collects from me daily as I have an online gifting business. They also won’t accept my one partner’s ID as it is black and white. I ask for another scan and its black and white and with his passport which is in colour? He has lost his ID so we thought this would suffice? Still not good enough. In the interim I had to fetch Taskani from FNB and drive her to my house where I run the business from so that she could declare that I live here. This should be on record as I have lived here from 2000 and we live on a plot and they did the same for my other company?

So now I have sent in a black and white copy that has signed by a commissioner of oaths. If this is not good enough, then I will go to another ban**** False advertising and bad service from FNB Online thank God for Taskani who has gone the extra mile to help.
