False advertising and non-existent customer service. Disgusting!
I was contacted by a member of the FNB sales team and offered a cheque and credit account upgrade. The sales person guaranteed, on numerous occasions, that I would be saving money on my monthly account fees and, because of this reason alone, I decided to go ahead with the upgrade.
A week later my new bank cards arrive sans the credit card - I contact FNB to follow up on when the missing card would be delivered, spoke to a different sales agent and asked her to verify the bank charges affiliated with the new account. Turns out the information given by the initial sales person who called me up was all full of lies. This occurred on the 7th of August. Since then I have tried numerous times to get someone, anyone, from FNB to contact me in order to reconcile this problem - I have tried contacting the sales team, the complaints department, sent numerous emails to anyone I made contact with but to this day I have not heard a word from anyone at FNB.
I find this appalling lack of customer service absolutely unacceptable. FNB is always boasting about how they are the leaders of business and personal finance, I highly doubt that the majority of their loyal customers would agree.
