Failure to protect against Purch Mac and things *****ulent transactions on clients accounts

*****ulent purchase coming off my account with the transaction named Purch Mac and things. I am now facing a shortfall of R2589.00 with my account. Being in a negative balance and having no money to see me through the rest of this long month. Looking at the reviews I seem to not be the only one and I must say how I am regretting my choice to bank with them now more than ever. From the time I joined this bank I have had multiple battles from having money being deducted from me for fees that want correct to having bad customer service with their chat agent who lack training and knowledge in the department they work for. For a transaction of this amount to be deducted from my account without my authorisation needed is mind blowing for a bank that stores thousands maybe even millions of peoples money to have such poor security measures in place is wild. To make matters worse After sharing my experience I have been told by my step mother that she had an account with this bank which she closed a year ago because the same thing happened to her multiple times which brings me to the conclusion that they have known about this being a problem yet made no efforts to increase their security and protect their other clients from becoming victims. Then after knowing this to be told I will have to wait 30 business days for the investigation to be concluded and an additional 3 months before my money is returned to me when it’s confirmed ***** infuriates me because non of this would have happened if they had acted on the issue sooner. I would not recommend anyone banks with them in fact I would encourage anyone who does have accounts with them to close them before you become a victim too as FNB has proven that they do not plan to take any action to prevent this from happening to others and with the turn around time on this investigation they clearly have no regard for the victims of this attack. I will be closing my account with this bank as soon as I receive my funds back.
