FAILLED CASH DEPOSIT ON ATM

I was depositing money today at FNB ATM center point shopping Centre in Milnerton . after i had inserted cash the ATM did not respond only gave me a receipt that the cash deposit was unsuccessful . i had to go to the nearest branch which is Montague gardens and they advised they will send it to the relevant department . How long does this take to be resolved? This is very inconveniencing and on such issues i it would be better if it can be resolved ASAP .
