Failing to open estate bank account and move funds
It is OK to be a client of FNB whilst you are alive. The issue is once you pass on. I have battled since Jan 2022 to open a fifth account for my dad's estate. All other accounts were closed as there were no transactions (but could have been if processes was explained to me). Their excuse that Master is now not confirming my appointment as executor (Queensburgh and Underberg branches). But I got an email from the person at Master's office saying they can only deal with FNB. I took this mail to FNB Underberg in December 2022. Initially I was told all was resolved. Only to receive a mail from Estates to show I am back at square one. No account and verification not done. I used to be a happy client but no more. And I have signing powers for mom and dad's affairs. I will be opening accounts at a bank that cares. My dad might have passed on but I am here and I need to be OK to take care of dad's affairs and mom's. Currently I am not. I need to finalise this hurdle to close dad's estate. And then take care of mom and her property. All you get from FNB is an autoresponse that they read your mail.
