Failed FICA Update - Account now frozen

Approx. 3 months ago I received an SMS stating that I needed to re-FICA my accounts. After querying this I went into the Bedfordview(Bedford center) branch to comply.
I was told everything was completed.
This morning I find my accounts have been frozen due to a lack of FICA update.
The fact that their staff had not completed the action is not of any fault of mine.
I am now stuck in a position where my salary has not been paid into my account, my debit orders are going to bounce and I am the one that will be penalized for this.

While the Sandton branch has assisted me in lifting the hold, I am still without money and still waiting for my debits orders to bounce. No one can tell me when my salary will eventually be in my account.

I want this on record that this behavior, from a bank that seems to pride itself on comms, is unacceptable.
Why does FNB limit important comms like this only to SMS. I log into my internet banking quite regularly and there have been no notices regarding my FICA status, Incontact emails have said nothing either.
Does FNB have a response?
