Fail fail fail ..

I like to imagine that I'm a valued FNB client. I've got lots of debt, and pay the higher account fees for the dubious honour of having a private banker through FNB private clients.

Last year, I asked my private banker to put me in touch with someone at FNB that could help advise restructuring loans that will save me thousands of rands interest monthly, and many thousands of rands long term. I did the whole application, explaining in detail the factors that need to be taken into account - but was just unceremoniously rejected with the obviously system generated message regurgitated by the supposed home loans "specialist" Mr. Vishal Binessaree

I subsequently restructured my finances to greatly reduce the need for any special consideration, and requested my banker to submit the application to a credit manager for review and begged for someone to at least discuss the merits and challenges of the application.

A few days later Mr. Vishal Binnesarree requested I send an updated Income/Expense statement. Two weeks later (over the Christmas/New Year period) I received a completely non-sensical reply from Mr. Binessaree, which not only defies logic, but completely ignores my written request for review and the whole communication trail of the application.

I tried calling Mr. Binnesarree to see if he could shed any light on his email, but his line is perpetually unavailable - and I gave up halfway through my email reply with words failing me.

I had such high hopes that I could migrate all my banking facilities to FNB as I prefer their loyalty and digital services, but I'll have to pursue solutions with other banks as my attempts with FNB looks like it will be permamently stymied by Mr. Binessaree.
