Extremely bad service, dissapointing. (Account opening)
Why is that every time I open an account with you guys I am forced to come to this platform to log a complaint? The last time it was my personal cheque account I had issues with & now that I want to open a business account, I must go through the most terrible and frustrating customer service over the phone then Hello Peter to get a decent service. Maybe if i want any kind of service from FNB, this should be my first line of contact.
I called in on the 10th August to open a business cheque account. I was assisted by Keo****tswe. He told me that the account is activated & the card will be couriered to me but did not mention that I will need to submit documents. I called in again on the 14th August to request for a letter to SARS reason being that i need it to apply for a tax clearance. I was then advised by Lindiwe that the account is on a pending status because I need to submit FICA documents as per an email request that i was sent. I went through my emails and noticed the email from FNB, immediately compiled the required FICA documents and emailed through to both ********** & ********** The following day, 15th August I sent the document titled "KYC Related Party Information Individual" as per your request. I called in again on the 17th August from the Clearwater FNB branch to get an update on the progress of my account. Thabo advised that the matter is with the admin department and will get feedback by Tuesday, 21st August, so I ended the call. I did not receive any feedback so I called in on the 21st August where I spoke to Nqobile at around 16:00 whom assured me that he has re-escalated the matter will be sorted the next day, 22nd August. The morning of the 22nd August I woke up to an email asking that I need to submit FICA documents. I called in again from the FNB branch in Clearwater and spoke to Nqobile again, informing him of the email I received. He said that I did not submit the proof of residence of which I told him that did sent it together with my ID and CK docs. He confirmed with me that indeed I did so he re-escalated to the admin department and reassured me that it will be sorted by the 23rd August. As I did not receive any feedback I called in AGAIN yesterday the 23rd August from FNB branch in Florida and Malebo answered the line. Whilst explaining my experience she called Nqobile over to assist. I asked Nqobile to have the issue resolved as in yesterday, that I couldn't take this run around any more and to have his manager call me as I had errands to attend to. He assured me that Lerato will call me. I received a call from ********** 496 however, the call was hanged up after 5 seconds of me answering it so I did not receive a call from Lerato. This morning I received the same irritating email asking me to mail FICA documents, as well as an sms stating that my request has been declined or something towards those lines. I called in AGAIN to find out what the issue was and a consultant (I forgot her name) told me that I need send a CERTIFIED Proof of Address. If that was the issue all along why could anyone tell me that from the very beginning? I went to the policve station to have the damn thing certified, scanned it & sent it to both email addresses, the ones I mentioned earlier. I call in again and spoke to Thogo whom advised that she re-escalated to admin department. I asked to stay on the line until this matter is resolved today, she told me that it will not happen. I asked to speak to Lerato whom I was told that she is in a meeting just like the day before (I forgot to mention). Lerato has still not called me as we had an agreement with Thogo that she will do so.
Due to this inconvenience and the lack of customer services and sense of urgency, truth be told, I have missed out on two business/Tender opportunities thanks to FNB. I am asking, should I not bother myself with you and choose a different bank instead? Just let me know that you are not interested in doing business with me & I will not bother you, it is that simple?
Also, I have not received my business cheque account card from your courier company and this is what happened. I was called a couple of days after opening the account to make arrangements and confirm the address. That was Thursday the 9th August, where I advised the consultant that I will not be at work on the Friday so we decided on the delivery being on Monday the 13th August. I received an sms informing me that they will not be able to deliver the card. I received another call on Wednesday to rearrange delivery and I told the consultant once again that I will not be at work on Wednesday & Thursday and will be back on Friday. He told me that I should ignore the sms that says I will get delivery on the Wednesday as arrangements will be made to have the card delivered on from which is today. I still haven't received it and when i do, there is no delivery fee I will pay as well reason being that I communicated my availability. I am extremely disappointed.
