Expired Card

My FNB Credit Card is due to expire at the end of October, that is a few days away. I have made constant attempt’s at communicating with the Call Centre since August. I was initially told by the agent that I will be contacted timeously so they won’t put my request for a new card through over the telephone, I agreed with that logic and patiently waited.

I had received no call and called again on October 20th and was advised that due to me not answering my cellphone, the courier company discarded my card ( As per procedure) This was false as I have no record of a missed call. I did another application for a new card and spoke to Khashnee Debidin on 20 October 2016 at 10h31, reference number: Rb ********** 7131. She advised me that i will be contacted soon.

On the 24th of October I called again and Dawn told me very abruptly to be patient as the mandatory waiting time is 3-5 working days. I accepted this but with my FNB Cheque Card the courier was so prompt so naturally I expected the same service and began to worry.

This morning, 09h53 I called again and Claire advised me that all she can do is send an email to the courier company and address it as urgent. When I advised her that this has been done before and asked if her manager cant assist she said No, and that her manager will also only be able to do the same.

Fundamentally, I need my credit card to be able to transact and highly doubt that I will be receiving it timeously. Surely the Call Centre agent needs to be able to contact the courier directly to be able to assist customers more effectively in terms of tracking the customers card?

Kind Regards,
Samona Govender
