Excess feee

I have an issue with their excess fee which they charge Willy-nilly I really don’t understand why l have to pay for it. When l make a payment in my understanding the funds have left my account already and supposedly put on reserve and l don’t have access to those funds then I get charged ukuthi the merchant didn’t collect it in time. I was charged excess fee of r310 for something worth r50
