Ewallet reversal.
Yesterday 10/11/2019 I sent an ewallet for an amount R120 to pay someone. The person I was paying did not recieve the money even though it had been deducted from my account. I ended up paying the person cash. I tried to do a reversal but that transaction did not reflect for reversal. I later recieved an sms from fnb that the amount had been reversed. When I checked today the amount had not been credited back into my account. I called fnb ewallet contact centre to enquire. I was told that the person I was sending the money to their number has a hold, because they upgraded their ewallet. Therefore they will not be able to recieve the amount. I then asked for the amount to be reversed back into account I was told that I will be charged R350 to have the ewallet reversed. My issue now is how does FNB penalize me for something I have absolutely no control of. Why was I sent a text that my money was reversed back into my account and then get told by fnb consultant to ignore the sms? If the number has a hold why cant I get my money back. For me this is day light *******. R120 might be nothing to a lot of people but it's a lot of money for me.
