Enough poor service

I'm not generally someone who posts anything that could be considered negative about anyone or any entity on Facebook or other sites.... And today I am. I am tired of businesses who hide behind systems and processes and call it an attempt at good service.

I think as consumers it is time for us to speak out about poor service and also withdraw support where we can, so that the leaders of those organisations start to take notice and remember who is at the heart of their business - not them, not the shareholders, but the customers.

First National Bank - delivered my credit card and the new pin code was covered and couldn't be seen properly. This necessitated me going into the branch, which for the past 5 visits has never taken less than 15 minutes. I arrive at the Pinelands branch at which point I had to take a number to stand in line. After a 10 minute wait the consultant changes the pin number for me. All a waste of my time already, and it gets worse. When trying to use my new credit card the next day, the pin number hasn't been changed. So, another trip to another branch - Rondebosch - for a repeat exercise. Really shocking FNB! Take a number and get in line.

The one redeeming factor is that Moegemat at Rondebosch picked up on my frustration and arranged for Ayesha to help me a little ahead of the queue, and made sure the new pin worked. Thank you Moegemat and Ayesha.
