Endless Delays and Frustration: Terrible Third-Party Insurance Claim with FNB

I am writing to express my frustration regarding a third-party claim with FNB Insurance that has been unnecessarily delayed for over four months.

On January 12, 2024, I was involved in an accident near Beyers Naudé Drive, Randburg, when an FNB-insured driver lost control due to the rain and hit the back of my car. The driver apologized and provided his insurance details for me to claim as a third party.

FNB referred my claim to Neil Govender Attorneys, and I kept being told, "the file is with management for final review." On April 22, 2024, I received a response from Neil Govender Attorneys, stating that the claim had been forwarded to their investigating department. Since then, I have received the same response over and over: "the file is with management for final review."

If I contact FNB, they do not take responsibility, and Neil Govender Attorneys give no updates. I escalated the matter to manager "Zanjeer" at Neil Govender Attorneys, but still no luck. It has been a total of 4 months and 22 days, and I am left waiting indefinitely.

This delay is causing significant emotional and financial stress, as I am forced to rent a car in the meantime. It is incredibly frustrating that FNB covers their clients for third-party liability, yet when it comes to fulfilling their obligations, I am met with endless delays and no clear answers.

Can someone at FNB please expedite the feedback process to the lawyers so I can finally know the outcome of the report? I am currently left in the dark and deeply frustrated.
