Empty Promises

If you have seen any of the FNB adverti*****ts, they are always emphasising how quick it is to apply for their services. Recently I app**** for increase on my credit card limit. All over my online banking profile there are adverti*****ts enticing one to increase limits and apply for temporary loans, hassle free with instant access. I unfortunately found myself in a position where I needed to apply for a credit increase, so tried to utilise the "convenience" of the service FNB promises. Applying for the increase was pretty straight forward; however approval of the increase, from FNB is anything but instant. I now find myself in a situation where I have app**** for the increase and been approved and have no access to the money. Having spoken to FNB, by the time I have access to the money I will no longer require it and will now have to make another plan to get the funds.

The funny thing is, when it comes to taking money from the client, it is a whole other ball game. Then they are able to act quickly and at the drop of coin, do what it takes to get your money as quick as possible.

I received the following sms the day before my credit increase application:

"FNB December salaries are paid early - Reply with your salary date to change your Home Loan Dec debit order date...."

I wonder how quickly they would have been able to process this change had I rep**** to them.

Your adverts are very misleading and I am not impressed with FNB. Do not provide your existing and potential clients with expectations of a quick, easy and convenient service when you cannot deliver on that expectation.
