Employee Prioritised Paperwork Over Customer

I visited the West Street branch yesterday. Of the three assistants who were there, two were busy with customers, and Philani seemed to be free as he was without a customer. I approached him and asked him for assistance with my business account. He said he was busy with paperwork and told me to have a seat and he would assist me when he was done. After having waited a few minutes, I asked him how much longer he would be. Looking irritated with me, he said he couldn't say, telling me again that he would be with me when he was done. This annoyed me very much because he seemed to prioritise the paperwork over me. I've never had an employee opt to do paperwork in front of me and refuse to assist me until he was done. If he had a lot of paperwork to do, I feel he should have done it elsewhere, where he wouldn't appear to be available for customers. And I probably wouldn't have been so upset had he been less dismissive and moody, and more friendly towards me. He ended up not assisting me, and I was assisted by Kirthi instead, who was very friendly and helpful. Only them did Philani attend to other customers. This is unacceptable.

The lady who called me about this incident basically defended the employee I had experienced bad service from. She was also patronising, as if she couldn't wait to get me off the phone. She pretended to listen to me, but she didn't sound interested in hearing me out. Her call didn't make me feel any better about the situation. Why call me if you will defend the employee in question and not try to make me feel better about the customer service I had received? You can do a lot better!
