Emigrant FX woes.

If you are a foreigner or an emigrant like me then please stay away from FNB if you want your own money sent to you via this bank.

Their non resident center seems non responsive to any appeals for fund transfers. It started out at 4 days to receive the money 4 years ago but it slowly deteriorated to "no response" even after 3 weeks.

I rely on my pension money to be paid to me timeously as I have rent and utilities to pay here in Portugal. Not good if rent is consistently late. Not so?

The auto response email from the non-res center states that they will reply within 3 days......What a laugh. Even if you keep sending them reminders of your money transfer application they will just ignore it. They will only send it after you complain to outside management. Their "Complaints/Compliments" section does not work as I spent 30 mins compiling my complaint and when I posted it went grey and would not go through.

I have come to the conclusion that the email address at ********** is unmanned as I have sent 2 requests to it with the attached Letter of Instruction and copy of ID to it. Today Zenda asked me to resend it to her. This can only mean that the 2 emails went missing as she obviously cannot retrieve them. This happens every time.
