EMBARRASSED AND BETRAYED

HELLO PETER

My name is Shaheem Patton and I have been a loyal customer of FNB (FIRST NATIONAL BANK) for a long time , with that being said I am very disappointed in the service i did not receive at the time i needed it the most yesterday, I had a very bad experience at FNB TOWN CENTRE in MITCHELL'S PLAIN when i was put threw to a call with an FNB agent whch handles my type of situation. I had a PERSONAL LOAN that i have been paying since APRIL 2017 and was scheduled to end in the 1st week of SEPTEMBER 2017 and i have never missed a payment such is my loayalty.with it being a short term loan i reached out to my bank and made my concern clear to them, that the last two payments will not be made as per normal and therefore an arrangement is due, so i figured the best option was to be honest and upfront about my situation as to not burn any bridges by missing any payment.

What I do need your help with is that unexpectedly my full time contract at work has been suspended due to the comapnies lack of business right now, most of us were laid off even though our contracts were not due to end at this point, therefore I contacted the bank in order to make an arrangement because we all know everyone has obligations and responsibilities and with myself being the only working adult in my household at this point.

I honestly feel that my bank could have had a few options at hand as to best suitable arrangement for me because I have been loyal and not in bad standing at all, which is why after receiving the news of my full time contrct being suspended I initially contacted my bank first in order to ensure that i am not in bad standing at all.

I was disrespected and humiliated on a call with an agent that was from the customer service team which i feel i could have been assisted with my query.

I was not given a proper chance to express my concern, especially at this juncture. Your customer service was PUTRID and would not allow me to speak and also did not offer anything in terms of an arrangement at all, the agent disrespectfully told me that i would have to pay all the money that is still due on my contract from my account and there is nothing in store for my concern and if i did not pay it now my account would go into arrears, and he did not even hold my concerns as priority to find any sort of solution.

Calling in because of this concern was the only option i had and i was not even helped after being on hold for over 35 minutes, which is horrid in its own, only to find an agent who was even paying attention to the customers(MY) concern, I am syre that FIRST NATIONAL BANK has policies in place for concerns like these wherby the bank pulls threw for a loyal customer.

I am confident that the lack of service will be rectified by MY BANK to whom this needs to be made known to, also policies needs to be put in place for these concerns, especially being FNB i expected options to ensure I would not be negatively effected by this, I would have agreed to pay a penalty or late fee but not for the last of my money to be deducted to which i had no choice because i felt threatened by being told there was not any other option but to pay now or my account will go into arears.

I speak to you now as a very disappointed customer and i honestly feel this should be flagged and somebody needs to contact me with this concern and if not i will further escalate this matter until my voice is heard because i am sure there are others that has been treated in the same manner.

please have a look into this matter for me because now i am unable to feed my family and look after my father whom is a stroke victim and needs his medication and physical therapy as well as a nurse that watches over his progress during the week, which i need to pay.

I need help with this Please.
