Email correspondence an appalling joke.
I submitted the following request 2 weeks ago to both info@ and **********
""Good day
Firstly I am not able to contact my local FNB branch on ********** as that number no longer exists. Your site gives ********** which gives me three options, none of which are applicable, ie Easy, Gold, Private, Business.
This is frustrating. Please tell me how I can phone my local branch to make an inquiry.
I will therefore include my inquiry in this email and hope that I receive a prompt informative reply.
I have a relative in China and need to receive funds from her. Firstly, ANY light you can shed on this would be greatly appreciated. However I have discovered that FNB is aligned with MoneyGram and would like comprehensive information on this service, ie
a) if my Saldanha FNB branch is a MoneyGram agent., b) if they deal with MoneyGram from China c) what is required to successfully and regularly transfer MoneyGram from China to South Africa, eg documents, branch number, etc d) can one use the ATM for receiving
I trust we can enter into an informative dialogue to both our benefits.
Sincerely
Robert""
I received a response from info@ with a scripted response on how to SEND MoneyGram and with no regard to my complaint about not being able to contact my local branch.
I forwarded this to mybranch620@ requesting escalation.
Two weeks later I have received from mybranch620@ a response to my FIRST email, requesting ""a signed ID signed and dated by yourself for security and verification purposes in order for us to assist.""
My request is for information regarding a service offered by FNB. There is no need for authentication.
This is an appalling joke.
ABSA have responded regarding Western Union so we'll be trying that I guess.
