EFT **** to FNB account

I find it horrible that I had to request a stop on an EFT that I mad on Friday 17.03.2017 from my bank Capitec to FNB. I was ****ED out of my money by a ******** that was supposedly the owner of a property that I wanted to rent. We are in the process of relocating from Secunda Mpumalanga to Cape Town. So in good faith I took it that all was in order for me to rent a Property that this Man M.D SEMANGO (Ronald) sold as his own. Once we realized that it was a **** I immediately contacted my bank Capitec to stop the EFT. I mad the Payment just after 19:00 on Friday night and Stopped the Payment on Saturday at about 14:00. I then phoned FNB ***** line after I spoke to my bank, and they told me that they would investigate. I find this horrifying because this ******** could have withdrawn all my money and I wouldn’t know, because they are “Investigating” I did not receive a reference number from them so I cannot follow up on the matter. How are we supposed to identify ********* if it can take up to 14 working days to resolve a problem. This is very bad service and honest law abiding working class people are getting the short end of the rope.

Good Day

Thank you for your email.

Kindly be advised that your bank needs to log a ***** case internally . We are unable to log onto clients accounts without authority, A transfer from another bank generally take 2-3 Business Days to reflect on the account. Please ask Capitec to provide you with a ref no for the case that was opened as they can do a follow up on the matter and provide you with feedback

Reviewer Update

I have a ref no. From Capitec and they have followed up with FNB with no result.

The feedback that I got was that it would take 7-14 working days. That seems like a long time to give someone who has obtained money in a ******** manner.

Good Day

Thank you for your email.

Kindly be advised that we are not authorised to go into another accountwithout authorization, Please follow up the Capitec as they need to provide you with feedback on the investigation. I do understand the frustration but if they process is 7-14 days theres nothing that we can do, However in the mean time please open a Saps case.
