eBucks Shop breaking the law
Good day
I purchased a bed set from the eBucks shop via the app on 26 July 2019. The order number is ***6. I recently set up the bed set and noticed that the base foot is defective. I duly submitted a return on the eBucks website last week. Emelda from the eBucks shop was in touch to confirm that the supplier (Tafelberg) will have to verify that the goods are indeed defective.
The supplier contacted me last week and I provided them with pictures of the defect. They confirmed that the item was indeed defective and offered to exchange the base. I refused the exchange and insisted on a refund.
Ebucks shop and Tafelberg are now giving me runaround. I am made to hear of 'refund needs to be authorised', 'handling fee', etc.
The CPA is quite explicit: If the item sold is defective, the consumer is entitled to a FULL refund if the supplier is notified within 6 months.
Please get your act in order and resolve this issue asap.
