eBucks restructure has removed real value for Private Wealth Clients

FNB’s New eBucks Changes Are Unacceptable – Private Wealth Clients Deserve Better

I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with FNB. As a long-standing Private Wealth client, I have re**** on the eBucks Rewards program for years — it has been one of the few consistent benefits that justified the higher banking fees.

With FNB’s recent overhaul of the eBucks program, the same flights I regularly book for my varsity-attending dependant are now costing me around 40% MORE. This isn’t a minor tweak — it’s a drastic, unexpected increase that directly affects my family’s financial planning.

What makes this worse is the continued marketing message from FNB: “How can we help you?” “Help is our purpose.” Right now, it feels like the bank is doing the exact opposite. These changes do not help customers. They undermine loyalty and reduce the true value of being on the Private Wealth platform.

This new structure feels misaligned with everything FNB claims to stand for: innovation, customer-centricity, and meaningful rewards.

I am posting this because I know many South Africans depend on eBucks — especially during tough economic times — and I believe this issue needs more visibility.

📣 If you are also affected by the new eBucks rules, please comment below. FNB needs to hear from the customers who are being impacted by these decisions.

Right now, I am seriously reconsidering the value of remaining with FNB Private Wealth unless there is meaningful action or reconsideration from the bank.
