Ebucks Discounts just keep disappearing

Ebucks is honestly becoming such a joke. I have always worked hard and paid extra monthly charges in order to stay at ebucks level 5 for the 40% discounts. The only reason I have a platinum account is because of the extra ebucks I could earn and I subscribe to other services to earn the points to be at level 5. The only reason I did this was because the extra 40% discount outweighed the extra monthly charges. But now there is now nothing useful to get 40% discount on.

A few years back Makro vouchers dropped from the discount. I was told it was coming back but never did. Then Dischem moved between being on discount and off discount. It seemed to the the end of the month it would drop off discount and then come back at the beginning of the month. But now Dischem seems to have dropped completely. Couple of weeks ago Checkers has also dropped from the 40% discount.

So honestly what is the point of having the ebucks level at all. It gets me absolutely nothing and I am just flushing money down the drain on the extra monthly charges. Ebucks has honestly become a real joke and the ebucks level is completely useless.

Think its time to move to another bank where I can actually benefit from the rewards instead of them constantly being taken away like with FNB

I received an email but not sure if replying to that address will be seen by anyone so putting my reply on here: Hi, I wish someone had actually phoned me to discuss this with me. I know the vouchers are still available without discount but without the 40% benefit then the extra services I subscribe to in order to get the 40% is not worth it. I am still losing out. The vouchers available on 40% are completely useless to me. As far as movies go I am already a Discovery vitality member and so get half price tickets already so cannot use your voucher. I already get free Showmax via DSTV. And Le Creuset is really not a place I would ever buy from. What Ebucks has always had and made it worthwhile are the vouchers for generic stores where the majority of people shop and can get what they need. This was Makro, Checkers and Dischem. All 3 of those are now gone so there is nothing to spend ebucks on except very specialized things. To me it is completely worthless and not worth my while to remain with FNB for the ebucks and will be looking into reward programs at the other banks. I am honestly so disappointed in FNB and their ebucks programs. It has honestly just gone down hill over the last few years. Regards, Mark.
