Ebucks and Banking Problems

I have been a Private Clients Account holder for nearly a year now as well as being on ebucks level 5 for 3 months.

During the month of May I had to take a week of un-paid leave for study purposes. My salary deposit into my checque account was therefore lower (by R1500) than the required R32,500.00 per month to hold a Private Clients account and I was subsequently lowered to a Premier Account. Now that does not bother me as next month I would be back up to the required deposit level, however, because I did not reach the required deposit level and 'moved' to a Premier Account, I was dropped straight down to Ebucks level 1?

Surely even if you move accounts you should keep the ebucks points you accumulate for that month (18 500)??

Upon querying this with my Private banker, she agreed and put me through to a Buhle at Ebucks who told me that because I dont make the deposit amount I don't qualify for ubucks and I am actually very lucky that they kept me on level 1 and still gave me 1000ebucks?!?!?

I understand your programmes are very straight forward and if someone does not qualify then you get moved to level 1 or whatever, but I feel a bit of human intervention is necessary when dealing with these scenarios.

Surely if you move to a 'lower account' the 32 day notice, tax free shares account, flexi fixed deposit, simply save, global account etc etc points that I have should be app**** to the Premier account and not deleted and pretend they didn't exist for that month? Sounds like I'm being punished???

I have always promoted FNB and its rewards programme but I have never been treated like this by any Bank before. I am on the brink of opening a Business Account with FNB but am seriously second guessing you? I have always been a good customer of FNB and never faulted on any of my accounts but I am being treated like a child by such a banking institution? Please resolve this and I will gladly update this review.

Thank you Daffnie.
FNB is an excellent bank no question about it, but I think there always room to improve and become even better.
Lets see if they can help me out.
Thank you
