Ebucks 2020 Huge Fail

I am really disappointed in the way FNB changed Ebucks this year - as if 2020 was not bad enough!

My monthly ebucks cash back went down from almost R1000 per month that just over a hundred. I reviewed the dashboard and found these ridiculous rules hidden in the fine print:

1. In order to get anything back for fuel, FNB wants you to load a huge lot of private information about your vehicle onto their app under Nav-Car. I assume they sell this statistical data to 3rd parties, as I can not see any other reason why they would want this. If this is not done, you get zilch! This while they still can not figure out how to distinguish between coffee and petrol purchases.

2. In order for you to get anything back for Spotify or Netflix you have to go back to the 1960’s and open an account for your wife on your profile - so much for empowering women. Who still has joint accounts in 2020?

There are a lot more to say about the rules of Ebucks this year, but it is simply not worth the time and energy. Two different agents at the help line admitted that they receive more complaints than ever from clients this year.

I will move my apending to My Discovery Bank Credit card until Ebucks comes to their senses.
