e bucks voucher redemption

I app**** to redeem R 2000.00 rands worth of e bucks to purchase goods at Makro. I am on level five and get a 40% discount, or so I thought. When I redeemed my e bucks via the FNB app on my cell phone I got the voucher on my cell phone but when I checked my e bucks balance on my FNB account the full R 2000.00 had been deducted. I phoned e bucks customer care and was informed that from the 1 July 2016 the rules had changed and refered me to the new rules on their web site and she advised that Makro did not qualify for the dicount this month as the stores are now rotated on a monthly basis. When I requested that the voucher be refunded I was told that they cannot refund a voucher once it has been issued. I requested to speak to a supervisor and was put through to one who stuck to the same story that she can do nothing to cancel the voucher and also refered me to the new rules on the web site.

This is to warn other e bucks users to be careful when redeeming e bucks for vouchers for the different stores to check and see that the store you a purchasing a voucher for qualifies for the discount because if you make a mistake, like I did,you will not get any help form e bucks customer care, just a cold sholder. It is a disgrace that they change the rules and refer you to their web site for the changes that they have made.
