DYE STAINED NOTES
Good Day

I am shocked by FNB`s response to a query I lodged on behalf of my parent. \THERE IS NOTHING WE CAN DO YOUR MOTHER MUST GO TO THE S.A. RESERVE BANK".

My mother who is a pensioner went to an FNB ATM in Motherwell P.E. to withdraw her pension money. She immediately noticed that all the notes were stained with ink. Not knowing what to do she phoned me to inform me of what had happened. I told her I would go to the branch I was closest to which is Greenacres to find out what she needed to do. To my dismay I was informed that FNB is not responsible for that she will have to take the notes to the reserve bank and complete forms and who knows how long that could take.

This is a person who has a heart condition and as little as her pension money is it means a lot to her as she survives on it. My concern is how is a big organisation as FNB not measures put up in place to assist in matters related to this. They should be able to trace that the serial numbers on the notes are indeed coming out from their ATM and possibly send the custodians to go look at the ATM for possible ink leakages. I`m not sure how many other people are affected by this from that specific ATM.
"""
