Downgrading my Reward Level Because of Returning Online Purchase

I am beyond dissapointed at the service I received from FNB and Ebucks.

1. I am Cheque Acc holder at FNB, with a reward level of 5. When my June rewards came this month, my reward level had gone down to 4, without any warning nor any form of information.

2. Suffice to mention that I have just took out a mortgage with FNB, so I was expecting more ebucks.

3. Whilst at FNB preller, we called the eBucks department to enquire abt such, and the eBucks consultant (his name was Leon-at abt 12h00) was beyond useless, even having the gall to direct me to T&Cs.

4. His response for the downgrade was that I had bought items online and some items were returned, and because the sale earned rewards, the returning thereof affected my reward level.

5. What I don't agree with is the overall downgrading of my reward level, which inturn affects my overall earn for the month.

6. Why didn't FNB retract the rewards they had afforded me upon my returning my order and not downgrade me?

7. So in effect, all my credit card spend rewards, including my fuel rewards were affected by about 50%?

8. Is FNB and eBucks saying once sales are made online and returns done thereon, they automatically punish me as a client, merely because I was not happy with some items I received, hence the return?

9. I'm a loyal Fnb client, and I have taken out products with FNB, and i continue maintaining them in order earn this reward level.

10. FNB and ebucks should relook this penalty policy on returns, irrespective of the said T&Cs, as it is definitely not fair on clients.

11. FNB & eBucks must have a disclaimer on the website on which the purchase and return is being processed. Atleast alert and give an option, because definitely the downgrade costs me way more than the rewards I earned on that individual purchase.

12. I am really dissapointed at eBucks/FNB service.

An initial reference number was allocated, a further one was was allocated when i enquired about about the lethargic pace this matter is taking.

When i check my level i I've moved back to level 5, but guess what... my ebucks rewards for july is 88 ebucks?

This i really frustrating...
