Double eBucks - Its just a ****

FNB has an eBucks rule that if you only qualify for certain criteria, they will allocate x2 (double) your fuel rewards every 3 month cycle. One of the criteria is that you are only allowed to refuel at Engen in that cycle. In September we stopped at another fuel station for some cooldrinks and snacks for a total of R42.80 For the September eBucks calculation, that R42.80 was falsely recorded as a non-Engen fuel purchase. Upon requesting the private banking suite to rectify their mistake, they informed me that in order to rectify their incorrect classification of the purchase, i would have to supply them with the receipt to prove that the R42.80 was not for refuelling. Finally, the catch ! They incorrectly classify purchases that no one would ever thinking of keeping the receipts so that they can get out of the x2 eBucks they owe you. Who is going to keep a receipt for some snacks and cooldrinks !?!?!?!? Especially when FNB only does the eBucks allocation in the middle of the next month!?!?! i.e. more than a month can go by without knowing how they plan to allocate your purchases and when they make a mistake, they expect you to dig out old receipts This is the most ridiculous argument I have ever heard of !! Be aware folks, the double eBucks is just bait to get you to move all your business to FNB, they clearly do not have the honest intention of sticking to their side of the deal.
