Double debit orders

The settlement amount for my bond was calculated at R1,742.724.35.

R1,742,724.35 included:

R1,725,952.26 Payoff amount

R57 admin fee

R16 716.09 Debit order

The latest amount on the internet banking was R1,718,570.82. I do understand that the amount of R1,725,952,26 could include interest. If R1,725,952,26 is the settlement amount why do I need to pay another debit order?

The settlement amount included a debit order, and debit order wad deducted from my banking account, which is a double debit order. If I do need to pay one more debit order, FNB still double deducted the debit orders from my account. (one included in the settlement amount and one deducted from my FNB cheque account)

The debit order, normally also include interest for the last 30 days. So FNB charge me twice for the debit order and twice for interest. FNB insist on me having to wait 45 days before they will refund the debit order that was deducted from my account.

I do not understand why I have to wait 45 days for the debit order to be refunded to me. I specifically moved my bond away from FNB because I can no longer struggle with poor service. And yet again, I have to struggle with this bond again, before the switch is finalised.

I send the above mentioned complaint on the 15th of August to ********** which is suppose to be their complaints line. On the 19th of August they informed me that they did received my email and that someone will answer me. Today is the 24th, I still did not hear anything or received a refund from FNB.
