Dont take out a credit card with FNB

My father had a credit card with FNB for for 4+ Years. Their was a debit order on the account and it was just charging the account. Lately we went to the branch to close the account as it was no longer needed and they said we have to pay the outstanding balance and so we did Only to find out 6 months later that the account was not closed and still being charged. We went to the branch to ask why is the account still open they said that the debit order is still charging the account. We then asked them to remove the debit order which they said they couldn't do from their side and that we must contact the company of the debit order which we don't remember as it was 4+ years when were in contact with the company and there is no description to whom the debit order is from on the statements or account. FNB cannot control their own accounts and the branch said that there is nothing that they can do from their side as they have also contacted the credit card department and they cant access the account .The account is still open and accumulating with the debit order that my father doesn't use and we will not pay it. I would definitely not recommend anyone to takeout a credit card with FNB.
