Don't advertise if you don't want customers

On several occasions I've made a request to open a student account but all has failed. FNB requires proof of address, which when presented was insufficient as the wife's name,who was present, was not on the electricity bill. If only one spouse is allowed on the Municipal account and this is unacceptable by the bank, then the problem should be addressed between the two parties, seeing that Customer Care mentioned that I am not the first customer to bring this issue up. After several complaints to FNB customer care, I find no joy and no account opened since 2 November 2015.
