DO NOTE USE FNB FOR FOREIGN INVESTMENT PURPOSES
In the past four (4) months, I have had five (5) payments from a UK bank sent via the Clearing House Automated Payment System (CHAPS). This system is an international payment system for transferring money internationally and guarantees same day payment.
The payments were all from a UK bank. The payments were all made in the morning in order to guarantee payment into my account by close of the working day. I have written confirmation from the UK regarding the payment dates and times.
However FNB totally ignores this same day international banking payment guarantee and pays the money into my account between 6 – 9 days latter.
Detailed below are the CHAPS I have received from the UK.
CHAPS Date UK FNB Payment Date Number of Days
02 July 2021 07 July 2021 6 22 June 2021 29 June 2021 8 25 May 2021 02 June 2021 9 27 April 2021 05 May 2021 9 23 April 2021 28 April 2021 6 Once again this highlights FNB‘s incompetence, stupidity, dishonesty and FNB’s total contempt and disrespect to clients bringing in foreign investment into South Africa.
South Africa is classed as “Junk Status” for investment purposes. FNB contribution to “Junk Status” is to provide an ***********, stupid and dishonest third world banking service for foreign investment money coming into South Africa.
FNB if you are going to respond to this complaint, please respond in writing. The South African Banking Ombudsman and the Department of Trade and Industry have requested that all correspondence regarding this matter be put in writing for their review.
WARNING : DO NOT USE FNB FOR FOREIGN INVESTMENT PURPOSES
