DO NOT SWITCH to FNB

I decided to switch to FNB after being with my current bank for over 25 years. I was looking forward to the better banking fees , account options and general service . I app**** on the 17 the of Jan in branch for a gold fusion account and debit switch . It is now the 21st of February and NOTHING ! After numerous calls to there customer care line and then finally visiting the branch again today to find out why I have no card , no debits have been switched and no correspondence on their part except a message to say that I need to pay 127 rand into my account for service charges , I find out no card has been ordered , no debits switched and no limit set !!!!! And I have to pay a service charge for an account I can't use !!!!! What on earth ! And now they want my bank statements again ? !!!! After spending 2 hours applying for this account in January with all the required documents ! The best is the useless customer care line who gave me a thousand different stories from ordering a card on my app, to another person saying because it's a credit card it has to be couriered , or another person ,one month in, saying to speed up the debit switch I should maybe contact service providers myself ! What the hell ! Over a month to open an account - really !!!! So my advice to everyone is DONT SWITCH TO FNB and save yourself alot of trouble.
