Do not get a business guarantee with this bank!
There seems to a major issue with the Guarantees department at FNB. I am required to issue an Excise Bond for SARS. App**** with FNB on 02/08/23 and the guarantee has still not been finalised. They have exceeded their 21 day turnaround which was reached on 31/08/23 and not a single member of staff can tell me when it will be ready. SARS are imposing submission deadlines and I keep having to request extensions on the deadlines because of this. I was promised it would be ready in time but are now giving me a different story. Furthermore I have to keep nagging for clarity and feedback. No one reaches out to me and explains anything. Very poor service and communication.

The team immediately escalated the issue and noticeably took my situation as highest priority with thorough communication every step of the way till I picked up the guarantee yesterday. Hopefully the team won't make the same mistake again with future clients. My guarantee has now been handed to SARS and all is well
