Dissapointing service

I have called FNB numerous times to try and resolve these matters and at all times I have been sent from pillar to post and have spent at least 30 minutes on the phone each time.

1. I sent an E-wallet to my brother ***) for R150. He only managed to withdraw R100 because the ATM did not have R50 notes. He tried numerous machines on a number of occasions and has had no luck. Eventually when I called in I was advised that he would be charged a withdrawal amount because he only gets one free withdrawal however we refuse to pay this as it is not our fault that the ATMS did not have the correct notes. We want to be able to withdraw the full R50 at no extra charge. If FNB disputes this, I have a colleague who has been experiencing the same problem with the exact same amount of money and has not been able to withdraw the remaining R50 ***).

2. Ivisited the Kempton Park branch to activate my FNB app and was told that I needed to de-lonk the app by calling in the FNB call centre. When I called in the consultant told me that she needed to verify my details then she would transfer me to the correct department. After the verification she transferred me and the line went quiet till I hung up. I decided not to call back after two failed attempts and just aited for FNB to call me back as they promised they would. Today (17/01) they called and i returned their call after I missed the initial one. The consultant I spoke to could not tell me who it was that called me and it turns out there was no record of me calling in to de-lonk my app from my old phone. The reference number (***) that I had was only for the E-wallet issue. The consultant I spoke to today told me that I had to visit a branch again to activate my profile, why wasnt this done when I was at the branch and why did the first consultant I spoke to tell me that she was putting me through to get the app de-linked?

FNB has just offered me a cheque account and delivered the card 2 weeks ago. I have been so frustrated with their service this week that I have decided to cancel my whole families accounts with FNB together with our funeral covers.

I hope to hear from FNB by Monday COB, if not I will be visiting the Kempton park branch at 10:00 to cancel all our dealings with FNB and will be advising my family to do so at the Diepkloof branch on the same day.

Mind you all the calls I have been making to FNB and the time I have wasted are worth way more that the R50 we are trying to withdraw.
