Dissapointed in FNB
I was a client of FNB for many years. We're always impressed with their service, recommended them to family and friends. My view changed though. Life happens to all of us at some point in your life, and I write this review for those people. When life gets tough, their slogan of "How can we help you" flies out of the window. I willingly signed up for debt review, because rising costs and no salary increases over few years, made paying loan payments impossible. They become less interested in helping you, they just rejected debt counsellors repayment options. They are just not interested. Even after being on debt review, they will hand you over to lawyers for collection. Which I was told can't happen. Before making the mistake to apply for debt review, which I also won't recommend to anyone for obvious reasons, my accounts were always paid in full. Accounts went into arrears with the failed attempt of negotiations between the debt review company and FNB. I used to be so proud of my bank, now just very disappointed.
