Dishonesty is FNB's motto
FNB is very quick to take your monthly premium, but when you settle both your accounts and are in credit and they owe you money..... Complete kettle of fish!! Needless to say it feels like you are fighting a losing battle! FIRST Email to FNB - Sent: Tuesday, 11 December 2018 11:20 Subject: Refund Dispute - *** Dear ***, Our telephonic conversation of even date refers. Please see attached statements for the 2 loan accounts; you will note that the credit amounts and actual amounts credited by FNB are a vast difference! On 27/11/2018 I requested a refund as per my statements on the settled loan accounts (personal loan *** = R984.20 credit and student loan *** = R393.30 credit). I was informed by *** (reference number Rh ********** 6244) that the requests were sent through and the refunds would take between 5-9 working days. I called this morning to enquire about the refund and was 1st informed by *** that on 28/11/2018 my cheque account was credited with amounts of R378.54 (for acc 062) and R151.27 (for acc 662). This caught me by surprise as the “refunds” took place in less than 5-9 working days and the amounts are incorrect! *** then transferred me to the finance department re. my query; hence the email to you. Kindly refund the difference of R605.55 (for account 062) and R242.03 (for account 662) – the total sum being R847.58. Please note; I will not be liable for any additional charges due to FNB’s erroneous refund (FNB will bear the costs for any further or additional admin costs for “re-opening” of loan accounts and/or “settlement amounts/calculations”). Thanking you for your assistance and looking forward to hear from your Team Leader. SECOND email to FNB - Sent Wednesday, 12 December 2018 12:56 Subject: RE: Refund Dispute - (Acc *** + ***) Hi ***, Trust you are well? Do you have any feedback re. my email below? THIRD email to FNB - Sent: Friday, 14 December 2018 11:07 Subject: RE: Refund Dispute - (Acc *** + ***) Hi *** I refer to the emails sent on 11 and 12 December 2018 (which was read but still no response). Please can you and/or Team Leader let me know what the progress is on my refund before close of business today. Kindly note that if I do not get a response/reply re. my refund I will post FNB’s dishonesty on “Hello Peter”.
