Disgusting customer service and telephone ethics and extremely very poor representation of a financial
Hello Peter I wish your rating system had negative stars as part of the rating even though I wouldn't use with them for FNB. This is by far the most disgusting customer service and telephone ethics I have ever received and a very poor representation of a financial institute. Have been with FNB for quite some time I started off as a gold check client and to my surprise when I open my app on my phone I was offered the opportunity to upgrade to a premier account. First I thought this was great as I now had the opportunity to apply for a credit card with FNB as per the information on my app which are then processed. I was immediately decline. I decided to give FNB a call so they could advise on the reason the application was declined. To my surprise I was advised by the call Centre agent that I was under debt review and that I would need to contact the nrc for a letter advising that I was no longer under debt review which I never app**** for. I received my letter from the NOC shortly thereafter and emailed it through to their debt review department. I had to make various and numerous calls to follow up that their systems have been updated. Once this was done I decided 2 continue my application for a credit card with FNB again I was declined same process followed we are called and was advised that my monthly income of the thousand was too little for a credit card. Having done some research on the premier account I should have not been upgraded at all as there were limits which had to be met according to meet the qualifying criteria having a salary of 1000 month also should have declined me. Iadvanced the call Centre agent who was talking to me at the time that my monthly salary on their system was incorrect I was advised to please send through a copy of my payslip to verify which had been done again after various phone calls and follow-ups this was still not done. Just leaving me very frustrated as I as I was now unable to apply for any credit with FNB, the amazing thing about all of this was my annual income was +-R ***.00 it's a no-brainer that the two don't add up but yet I was told I do not qualify even though emails and calls were made on on numerous occasions. I tried to correct this problem on my banking app as well as my online banking with no joy.
Today after requesting a call back from FNB with regards to this error on there system, I received a call from the connect apartments offering me a contract with them after spending some time on the phone again I was declined due to the same problem. Once again I called FNB to resolve this query I was on hold for good 45 minutes when I decided that I would leave a message for a call back to get a reply from an answering machine to say that the mailbox was full and unable to take any more messages. I was then advised to go through to a branch I unfortunately do not have time to sit in the branch due to my job and my demand from my family on weekends. I personally feel that this matter could have been resolved over the phone instead it has taken a lot of my time as well as a time minutes to leave me frustrated at this point to where I want to cancel my FNB account.
