Disgusted with FNB ***** departement
My purse was ****** from work on the 12th of November 2021, my FNB debit card has the tap and go function where no pin is required. My cell phone started alerting me that my card was being used, I raced off to FNB, called the FNB ***** line while in the Durban north branch, stopped my card, explained what had happened and told them the amount that had been spent so far was R1060.83. I was told the case would be investigated within 7 to 10 working days. I waited for the 10 days to be up and called in again, response was they still investigating, was told to call back in two days. I left it longer than that, called in and was told by the gent that he doesn't know what is going on but will escalate it as he is sure they are STILL investigating. I left it once again, I then called in a short while ago, it is now a month and one day today. To first be told my case was not assigned to anyone then to be put through to someone else who gives conflicting information saying they are investigating to see if my tap and go card had a pin function on it. I have camera footage of this guy using my card and not needing to put a pin in. This is how he was able to spend the above amount mentioned. I still do not have a timeline as to when they will have an answer for me. I think its absolutely ridiculous I need to keep calling in and get conflicting information every time, yet absolutely no communication, no sms nothing from FNB to say they are investigating. Extremely stressful when one is 7 months pregnant and FNB cannot give any proper feedback after a full month of me reporting this.
