Discrepancy in ITC Record and Account Status
I am writing to formally address an ongoing issue with my account, which is negatively impacting my ITC record. The details on the account are incorrect, and this has led to an unjustly affected ITC score.
Specifically, I have noticed that the account shows an outstanding balance that is more than 700 over the actual balance, which is incorrect. The account was changed to a lower package, and I have consistently reduced the credit limit each month — in order to close the credit card.
As per my understanding, the full amount has been paid every month, and the limit was decreased by between R500 and R800 to ensure the account was managed properly. Given these facts, I do not understand why FNB would report incorrect information to the ITC, particularly when the limit was adjusted and the payments were consistently made.
For clarity:
The account was originally at R22,000 and now stands at R15,800.
Despite this, according to your records, I am showing as being in arrears, which is incorrect.
I request an immediate review and correction of the information reported to ITC. The discrepancies in your records must be updated, as they are unfairly affecting my credit standing.
Please provide an explanation as to how this incorrect information was reported and when I can expect the issue to be corrected.
