Disappointing Experience with FNB Business Account
I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the level of service I have received from FNB over the past few months.
As a loyal customer with a business account for the last three years, I expected a higher standard of professionalism and efficiency. Unfortunately, my recent experience in July with delayed transactions has been nothing short of a nightmare.
Despite my repeated attempts to address this issue via numerous emails, it appears that my case was not taken seriously from the outset. To compound matters, when I attempted to close my account with a balance of a mere R300, the situation escalated to an astonishing R6,000 due to inaction and delays on FNB's part. Now, I am being pressured to settle this absurd amount.
The fact that I am being asked to patiently await the resolution of a case before closing my account is beyond comprehension. Furthermore, my attempts to engage the complaints department have proven fruitless, with no response forthcoming.
This ordeal has not only inconvenienced my clients but has also forced me to request cash-only payments, all while enduring monthly bank charges that I find wholly unjustified.
I even took the initiative to draft a formal letter requesting the immediate closure of my account, only to be met with silence.
I am appalled by the lack of consideration for a loyal customer and the utter disregard for the impact this has had on my business. I expected better from a financial institution of FNB's stature.
This experience has left me seriously questioning whether FNB truly values its customers and their businesses. I hope this feedback prompts a serious reevaluation of your customer service policies and procedures.
My business account remains open, now with R-6k causing significant complications. Clients who were unaware of my FNB situation have inadvertently sent money to the negative balance. This has left me in the impossible position of continuing to provide services without receiving payment, effectively conducting business at a loss.
I expect a prompt and satisfactory resolution to this matter.
